What inspired you to start running?
What is your favourite racing distance?
10 miles – I find a half a bit too far (I get bored) and a 10k too fast!
What is your favourite race to date and why?
Golden gate Half marathon in San Francisco. It’s such an iconic bridge to run across (twice) and the support from the American crowds was insane.
What is your favourite post-run meal?
What is your favourite session on your training plan?
I quite enjoy something on the track like 12 x 400 with a short recovery. I sprinted for years so I still enjoy the track sessions.
Which running-inspired quote is your mantra?
“Stay in the mile you’re in”. We get worried as runners about what’s to come in a race but it’s really important to stay in the moment. Also, a great metaphor for life!!
If you had all the time in the world, what would be the one thing you’d work really hard on for your training?
Probably nutrition and recovery. I think we all underestimate how integral these are to our running.
What piece of advice would you give to a newbie runner?
To enjoy it!! and to take your time building up your running/mileage.

Which is your favourite bit of kit to wear and why?
I love colour so the Blue and Grey “on the run” print, geometric pattern Tee shirt is my favourite design. It’s also good to have something different for men.
What bit of kit would you recommend to other runners?
The Mens “on the run” black shorts. They’re a great staple piece for any runner and I love that they are a shorter, short (but not a short, short) giving you plenty of room and flexibility to move whilst running. They also have pockets which are useful.
Which bit of kit do you own that you now take everywhere?
As above, it has to be the shorts.
Which event will you be next wearing our kit at?
I’m hoping to be at The GoodWood Running Grand Prix although I’m unsure what distance I’ll run yet.
